Twitter opens a fee war with Apple

Meanwhile, when conducting transactions through the website, users only lose 7 USD for this service. This is considered a direct move by Twitter to target Apple ‘s 30% transaction fee policy.

With a lower service price on the website, Twitter users are likely to abandon subscriptions via the iPhone app. Currently, it is not clear whether the change to the service price for Twitter’s authentic account will apply on the Android platform.

Apple and Google have yet to comment on Twitter’s price change move.

 

After taking over Twitter in October, billionaire Elon Musk has planned to release authentication services in different colors for individuals, companies and government agencies.

Last week, Elon Musk had a series of Tweets condemning Apple’s policy of collecting 30% of the transaction value made on the application. The new boss of Twitter even posted a meme showing that he is willing to confront Apple instead of paying exorbitant fees.

Elon Musk said, after meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook at the company headquarters, misunderstandings about Twitter being removed from the app store have been resolved.
