The future is that the warehouse will be empty of people and robots.
Boston Dynamics is a very famous robot research and production company, which has made robots that can run, jump, upside down, and recently launched a new robot, which is an upgrade. Handle of the Robot Handle since 2017. Handle 2019 improves the ability to arrange cartons amazingly thanks to an ostrich-like design.
Robot Handle was originally designed by Boston Dynamics primarily as a performance test of wheeled robots compared to humanoid robots. The new version has a more complete design and can now truly automate and unload boxes in warehouses, as you see in the video.
It’s easy to see that Handle has the potential to be used in large warehouses, such as Amazon. We can imagine a robotic “army” running back and forth to perfectly arrange goods into huge stacks.

Technically, Boston Dynamics said that Handle can lift a piece of cargo weighing 30 pounds and stack it up to 167cm high. Image processing systems will help Handle see and hold boxes and keep track of where they are located.
Like many other projects of Boston Dynamics, Handle is currently a test version, the company has no plans to commercialize. However, it’s easy to see that Handle has the potential to be used in large warehouses, such as Amazon. We can imagine a robotic “army” running back and forth to perfectly arrange goods into huge stacks.
