The Redmi Note 6 Pro exploded while being repaired

Redmi Note 6 Pro was a very popular smartphone in 2018, with good configuration compared to the price range and the design was quite new at the time. But it seems that this machine has a defect in the production process, when one recently exploded while being repaired.

According to information provided by Khabar Gujarat newspaper, a technician at the Dhriti Mobiles store in India is working to open the device for repair when a lot of smoke is coming out of the back. In a split second, the Redmi Note 6 Pro burst into flames and was thrown to the ground by the technician because it was too hot. Thankfully no one was injured in this incident.

Many people have started questioning the safety of smartphones from Xiaomi, because this is not the first product of the company caught fire or exploded. Similar incidents have happened in the past with Xiaomi Mi A1, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 7S and Redmi 6A.

Also except for the ability during the opening process to repair, the technician has exerted too much impact on the battery leading to short circuit and explosion, but the exact cause is still being clarified. Xiaomi has not made any official announcement regarding this incident.
