Revealing the “clamshell” folding smartphone vivo X Flip: Large secondary screen like OPPO Find N2 Flip, Samsung needs to be careful

After the success of the Find N2 Flip, OPPO’s “clamshell” folding smartphone in the Chinese, international and Vietnamese markets, vivo is also about to launch a similar folding phone called vivo X Flip.

Recently, a photo of actor Vuong Tu Van (Wang Ziwen) holding a strange folding phone was posted on Weibo by Digital Chat Station, a news channel specializing in leaking technology rumors. Accordingly, this folding smartphone has a design quite similar to OPPO Find N2 Flip, but the secondary screen on the back is designed horizontally, not vertically. The camera cluster is also housed in a circular module.

Notably, next to the camera cluster we can see the characteristic blue ZEISS logo. Currently, only vivo is cooperating with ZEISS to improve smartphone image quality. Digital Chat Station also mentioned the name of this device as vivo X Flip, indicating that this will be the next folding smartphone introduced by vivo in the near future.

With the undeniable outstanding advantages of OPPO Find N2 Flip and the upcoming vivo X Flip, Chinese folding phones in the past time have made significant strides such as better design, better handling problem of screen wrinkles, outstanding durability as well as equipped with a large secondary screen, strong performance and much faster charging. These are all advantages that Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series cannot currently keep up with.

This fall, Samsung will hold an event to launch the new Galaxy Z product. Users can expect Samsung to upgrade its folding smartphone product line to maintain its “king” position in the mobile village. As a pioneer in the field of folding smartphones, as well as being able to control the production of flexible OLED panels, Samsung is fully capable of creating a more “explosive” product to compete with Chinese companies.
