According to Samsung, shooting 8K videos on the Galaxy S20 will cost 600MB per minute. A 5K 8K video will have a capacity of up to 3GB. That means storage capacity will quickly become a problem, and you might be interested in using a microSD card.

To get 8K videos on Galaxy S20 you will have to trade a lot of things, and storage is not the only one. According to SamMobile, the maximum time to shoot an 8K video is only 5 minutes. You can only shoot at 24fps, can’t replace it with higher frame rates like 60fps or even 30fps. There is also no anti-shake feature.

Storage is not an issue, if you choose the Galaxy S20 Ultra 512GB model, and add a 1TB microSD memory card. If you choose the Galaxy S20 128GB model, 8K video recording will become a big deal.

Samsung says there are a few good reasons you want to shoot 8K videos on the Galaxy S20. High resolution makes images super sharp, meaning you can pull 33MP photos out of video. That helps you capture the rare moments, but the image quality is still guaranteed at the highest level.
