realme launches MagDart magnetic charging technology: Up to 50W power, similar to MagSafe

Today (August 3), realme has launched a completely new magnetic wireless charging solution for Android phones called realme MagDart. Basically, the new magnetic charging technology applied by realme has almost the same way of working with Apple’s MagSafe, but realme has optimized to be able to increase the magnetic charging capacity up to 50W.

Because it is a custom wireless charging technology, only realme smartphones will support this technology. Specifically, realme Flash has also just been introduced by realme today as the first smartphone to support magnetic wireless charging. This device is equipped with a 4500mAh battery, built-in magnet on the back and supports MagDart wireless charging with a capacity of 50W, allowing to charge the battery from 0 to 20% in just 5 minutes, from 0 to 100% in just 5 minutes. 54 minutes, almost the same as the SuperDart realme 50W wired charger.

As announced by realme, the MagDart the 50W charger is equipped with a cooling system to actively keep the motherboard and coil temperature at a reasonable level. The air cooling system allows the charger to stay at a high power level for a long time.

realme also introduced a MagDart charger with a smaller 15W charging capacity. Compared to Apple’s MagSafe charger, the MagDart is 26.4% thinner but gives faster charging capacity for a longer time thanks to a separate coil and circuit design.

Specifically, the motherboard and coil are designed to be located at the ends of the charging pad and the corresponding electronic charger, resulting in a thin charging board with only one charging coil. These two heat sources are also operated separately, thereby reducing heat generation and providing a longer charging life for a strong energy flow.

In addition, realme also introduced a lot of accessories using MagDart technology such as MagDart 2-in-1 power bank (works similar to MagSafe backup batteries), MagDart charging dock, MagDart cases and a variety of accessories other similar.

The price of accessories using MagDart technology has not been disclosed by realme.
