More evidence shows that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have an integrated S Pen

Without much speculation, we can also see what Samsung’s intentions are. And that is to integrate the S Pen of the Galaxy Note line into a foldable smartphone, most likely to be the Galaxy Z Fold 3 launched in 2021.

There have been quite a few rumors about this as well, but this can be seen as the clearest proof of Samsung’s intentions. Previously there was a leak that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be equipped with a thicker layer of ultra-thin glass (Ultra-Thin Glass), to be able to withstand the pressure of the S Pen without damaging the screen.

There is also information that the S Pen of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be different from the S Pen of the Galaxy Note 20. The S Pen of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will use Active Electrostatic (AES) technology. The S Pen of the Galaxy Note series has so far used Electromagnetic Resonance (EMR) technology, which does not require an external power source for the pen.

The reason is because AES technology only requires a single sensor for both pen and screen, so it will be more suitable for the design of the folding screen on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. AES technology is also used by Apple in The Apple Pencil, and this pen will need to be charged in order to use it.

In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be the first Samsung smartphone to be equipped with a selfie camera sensor hidden below the screen. As a result, this smartphone will have a 100% perfect screen, without any holes like Samsung’s Infinity-O design.
