Microsoft reveals Windows Terminal “New command line application for Windows

Microsoft has launched a new command line application for Windows, called Windows Terminal . Windows Terminal is designed as a primary access point to access PowerShell, Cmd and Windows child systems for Linux (WSL). Microsoft added many tabs that support the same themes to customize, enabling developers to adjust the Terminal application.
Windows Terminal will support emoji and GPU-based text rendering. DirectX-based text output, showing text characters, glyphs and symbols available on your PC including pictograms, emoticons, powerline icons, icons and ligatures program. Microsoft unveiled the Windows Terminal in the company’s Developer Build conference on May 6. The software giant is planning to launch the product in mid-June, marking the latest effort to improve the development environment on Windows 10.
Windows Terminal will customize separately for each configuration. You can create multiple profiles for each application, reporter or tool you enter into Windows Terminal. This can be PowerShell, cmd prompt, SSH or Ubuntu. Each profile can have its own color theme, background blur, font style and size. Developers can customize many things when working with Windows Terminal.
Recently, Microsoft also added the Linux kernel to Windows 10 and OpenSSH to the operating system, even bringing Ubuntu to the Windows Store. Before the Windows Terminal application came out next month, Microsoft posted its source code to GitHub . That also means you can create a copy of Windows Terminal to use this application a little earlier before it is available on the Windows Store.
