Information from a class-action lawsuit against Oracle shows that the software company has built an artificial intelligence tool to collect and sell personal information of Internet users globally. According to the lawsuit, up to 5 billion Internet users globally have personal information collected by Oracle. According to a report by research firm Cybersecurity Ventures, by 2022, there will be 6 billion Internet users globally, which means that more than 83% of Internet users globally have had their personal information stolen by Oracle.

Larry Ellison’s statement was made at the Oracle Openworld event hosted by Oracle in 2016.

According to Dr. Johnny Ryan, Oracle has invaded the privacy of billions of people globally. “The company is on a dangerous mission to track where people in the world are going and doing. We are taking action to stop Oracle’s surveillance,” said Dr. Johnny Ryan.

Oracle has not yet commented on the allegations.
