Windows 10 officially reached 1 billion users

Last September, Microsoft announced that Windows 10 had reached 900 million users worldwide. It only takes 5 months to reach the current milestone. And this is the official announcement because it comes from the website of Microsoft Italy.

Through its Italian website, Microsoft thanks its 1 billion users. When Windows 10 was released in 2015, we still remember the company expected to reach 1 billion installs in about 2 to 3 years. However, by 2017, the operating system had reached only 500 million users, and Microsoft had to extend the time to reach its goal.

Currently, Windows 10 has finally reached 1 billion users. This number is calculated for both PCs, Surface tablets, Xbox One and its various versions (Xbox One S and Xbox One X).

Initially, Microsoft even considered smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile, but the number of users using the platform is declining day by day and does not seem to have much contribution to the figure above 1 billion.
