Windows 10 ARM runs the Apple M1 chip that is almost 2 times faster than the Surface Pro X chip

According to the latest benchmark results, the Apple M1 chip on devices with Windows 10 ARM cores is almost 2 times faster than Microsoft’s Windows 10 ARM devices. Benchmarks show that Windows 10 runs an Apple M1 chip that’s faster than the Surface Pro X, runs Windows 10, and runs a Snapdragon 8cx processor.

The Apple M1 processor was announced in June and it is mainly used for devices that support ARM cores. Apple designed this SoC from the very beginning to optimize performance, battery life and support for the macOS operating system.

However, Apple is also partnering with Microsoft so that Windows 10 ARM devices can support this chip. Technically, Windows 10 can run on Apple devices, but obviously this is entirely up to Microsoft.

Currently, developers are testing Windows 10 on devices running the Apple M1 chip. There is now a new launcher version using open source virtualization technology to be able to run Windows 10 on Apple hardware and the results seem to be better than many expectations.

On Geekbench, the Apple M1 running on a Mac running Windows 10 scored 2,000 points higher than the Surface Pro X in multi-core tests.

Apple Mac mini running Windows 10 ARM scored nearly 5,450 points on Geekbench, while the Surface Pro X lagged behind with 3,113 points . Single-core scores also have a big difference when the Apple M1 chip for single-core score is up to 1,399 points, while the Snapdragon chip on the Surface Pro X only has 804 points.

Microsoft currently does not allow Apple to use Windows 10 ARM version on its devices, so the developers have tested the benchmark by running the operating system through a virtual machine.

The chip “growers” of Apple can provide super power and optimized support for both Windows 10 ARM. Especially Windows 10 version supports for Apple M1 chip released next year promises to bring more perfect compatibility.

Qualcomm recently pledged that the future generation of Snapdragon chips will be upgraded more strongly. The American chip maker said that it is researching chips that can “compete in the market” thanks to strong performance upgraded year by year.

Previously, the US chip manufacturer has complimented the Apple M1 chip and confirmed, this is a testament to the fact that we can completely bring mobile chips to laptops.
