VinFast sells Lux A2.0, priced from 981 million VND

On July 15, 2022, VinFast officially announced to stop selling combustion engine cars to focus on electric cars, including the Lux A2.0 sedan. However, on June 1, 2023, the gasoline-powered VinFast LUX A2.0 has quietly reappeared on the company’s homepage and allows customers to make a deposit.

According to information on the homepage, VinFast’s internal combustion engine sedan continues to have 3 versions: Standard, Advanced and Premium as before. However, the selling price of this E-class sedan has changed compared to before it stopped selling. Specifically:

– Standard version 981 million VND.

– Advanced version 1,048 billion VND.

– Premium version 1,174 billion VND.

Thus, compared to the listed price ranged from 1,115 to 1,358 billion VND (not applied) at the time, VinFast LUX A2.0 is now significantly cheaper.

The engine of VinFast LUX A2.0 in Vietnam is still a turbocharged petrol engine, 2.0L capacity developed from BMW’s N20 engine. In the Standard and Advanced versions, the engine produces a maximum capacity of 174 horsepower and maximum torque of 300 Nm. Meanwhile, the Premium version owns a maximum capacity of 228 horsepower and maximum torque of 350 Nm. All are equipped with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

Besides, there are other notable equipment such as LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, welcome lights, electric folding / electrically adjustable rearview mirrors / integrated turn signals / mirror drying, mirrors. the right side automatically adjusts when reversing, automatic wipers, 18-inch rims in the Standard version and 19-inch in the other two versions. In addition, the Premium version also has dark insulating glass and double rear exhaust pipes.

Inside VinFast LUX A2.0 there are standard amenities such as smart key, push button start, black synthetic leather seats, 4-way power front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, 4-way manual adjustment , integrated function keys, automatic air conditioning, dashboard with 7-inch multi-information screen, 10.4-inch central touch screen, wired Apple CarPlay connection, 8-speaker audio system and mirrors automatic anti-glare rearview mirror.

Meanwhile, the Premium version will be equipped with optional Nappa leather interior, 8-way power front seats, navigation system, GPS Navigation map, wireless phone charger, WiFi connection, WiFi transmitter, system 13-speaker sound system with amplifier, decorative border lighting system and electric rear window sunshade.

VinFast LUX A2.0 also has safety equipment such as electronic handbrake, electronic balance, traction control, support for slope departure, front / rear parking assist sensor, blind spot warning, 360 degree camera and 6 airbags.

Starting to be handed over to customers from the end of 2019, VinFast’s petrol cars including LUX A2.0, LUX SA2.0 and Fadil have a relatively short lifespan, lasting only 3-4 years. . However, during that time, VinFast LUX A2.0 once caused a fever when continuously leading the D-class sedan segment with a price of 1 billion VND in the Vietnamese market.
