According to the report, in 2022, the number of phones manufactured in Vietnam is estimated at about 210.5 million units, down 9.1% compared to 2021. The production value of phone components is about 663,700 billion VND, an increase of 15.1% compared to 2021.

In terms of categories, the export of CBU phones reached $33.32 billion, up 0.67% compared to 2021, accounting for 57.4% of the total export value of the product group. In which, the export of Samsung phones reached over 31.42 billion USD, accounting for 95% of the total export turnover of CBU phones of the whole country.

Regarding the export of phone components and accessories, reached over 24.67 billion USD, up 1% compared to 2021. In which, the export of other components accounted for the main proportion with a turnover of more than 20 billion USD, accounting for 98%, exports of components from Samsung, LG, Asus, and iPhone make up a negligible proportion.

In 2022, the main export markets of phones and components are: China, USA, EU, Korea, UAE, Hong Kong (China) China is Vietnam’s largest export market with export turnover in 2022 will reach 16.3 billion USD, up 7.1% compared to 2021. The second is the US market with a turnover of 11.9 billion USD.
