This year’s Apple product is called MacBook Air M3: The largest 15-inch screen ever, the M3 chip is far ahead of a series of rivals!

Many rumors and reports that have appeared in the past time have all suggested that Apple is planning to launch a new MacBook Air, with a larger 15-inch screen in the event held in the second half of 2023. This laptop will use M3 chip, support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. In addition to these outstanding features, the 15-inch MacBook Air also comes with many major upgrades.

Stylish design, 15 inch super large screen

Sources that have appeared recently have said that the screen will be one of the most prominent highlights of the new generation MacBook Air. This model is expected to have a size of 15.5 inches, much larger than the current 13.6 inches. This will give users more display space to work, as well as play.

The new 15-inch model will retain the same design with a “rabbit ears” screen, a curved and evenly thin design. Apple may use the same internal keyboard layout as the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the power key integrated fingerprint sensor. Because it is an ultra-thin and light line, the machine will omit the cooling fan and is suitable for people who do not need too strong performance.

New M3 chip integration

According to BGR, Apple is likely to introduce a new generation processor at WWDC 2023 in early June. The M3 is manufactured on the 3 nm process instead of the current 5 nm on the M2. The 15-inch Air model could be the first laptop equipped with this processor. However, the device may launch quite late, in September or December this year.

TSMC once revealed that the 3nm process will help this chip increase its power by 10-20% compared to the current 5nm chip lines, but the energy efficiency will be improved to 35%. That’s why the Apple M3 equipped on the upcoming MacBook lines is worth looking forward to because of a powerful configuration and the ability to save energy, great battery life.

Better battery life

Thanks to production on the new process, the M3 chip will be greatly improved in energy efficiency and slightly upgraded in performance. Some sources said that if Apple launches the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air at the same time, it may only upgrade the M3 chip for the larger screen version. 

The source also said that the 15-inch Air could be a laptop model with superior battery life compared to Windows products of the same screen size. Currently, the 13-inch MacBook Air version has 18 hours of battery life while the 16-inch MacBook Pro is 22 hours.

Attractive price

Currently, the price of the 15-inch MacBook Air is still a mystery, Tom’s Guide page expects the device to fall to $ 1,399 – 1,499 (about 33.4 – 35.8 million). 

Meanwhile, according to MacRumors, the company may sell a 15-inch version alongside the 13-inch model, which will go on sale from July 2022 with a starting price of $1,200.

Release time

The report also reveals that the M3 chip could be launched at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023, which could be held in June. The M3 chip is said to be Apple’s first silicon SoC based on on the 3nm process and is expected to deliver massive increases in performance and energy efficiency. 

“If Apple follows last year’s schedule, it would make sense to launch the M3 chip alongside the new MacBook Air at WWDC 2023. Then the company could continue with the M3 iMac later in the year and the M3 Pro-based MacBook Pro. and M3 Max by 2024,” the report added.
