Recently, the images of Xiaomi’s Redmi K40 and K40 Pro duo were leaked through TENAA, a Chinese smartphone censorship agency. Redmi K40 and K40 Pro are considered “flagship killer”, integrating many impressive technologies but the price is very cheap.

The image shows that the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro will have a design that is quite similar to the Mi 11 that Xiaomi announced not long ago. Two prominent details on the back of Mi 11 are the square camera cluster with two separate lenses and the light blue color that Xiaomi brings to the Redmi K40.

On the front, the Redmi K40 also has a “hole punch” screen, but the selfie camera instead of being placed in the upper left corner like in Mi 11, on the Redmi K40, it is placed in the center. This design is quite similar to Samsung devices.

Many rumors suggest that the Redmi K40 series will be equipped with the latest chips from Qualcomm today. Specifically, the Redmi K40 Pro will use the most powerful Snapdragon 888 chip, while the Redmi K40 will be the Snapdragon 870 chip (an upgraded version of Snapdragon 865). Some other equipment may also include 120Hz screen, dual speakers and larger than 4000mAh battery capacity.

One thing that the Redmi K40 is expected to cut down is the included charger. Similar to what Xiaomi has done with Mi 11, it is possible that the company will launch two different versions of the Redmi K40, one with charging and one without charging.

Regarding the selling price, before that, Mr. Lu Weibing, Vice President of Xiaomi Group cum CEO of Redmi Brand, confirmed that the Redmi K40 Pro will have a starting price of 2999 yuan (equivalent to 10.6 million). As one of the cheapest smartphones in the world with the Snapdragon 888. Meanwhile, according to some rumors, the Redmi K40 model with the Snapdragon 870 chip will be cheaper, around 1999 yuan (equivalent to 7.1 million).

The Redmi K40 series will be officially announced by Xiaomi on February 25.
