The only university in Vietnam in the top 100 best universities in Asia in 2023

According to the ranking list of Times Higher Education (THE), this year Vietnam has 6 universities evaluated and ranked. In which, Ton Duc Thang University ranks first in Vietnam, ranked 86th in Asia.

5 universities in the top 600 include: Duy Tan University, 106th, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (351-400), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (501-600th), Vietnam National University, HCMC 501 – 600) and Hue University (601+).

Last year, two universities in our country reached the top 100, including Ton Duc Thang University – 73rd and Duy Tan University – 91st.

This year, THE ranked 669 higher education institutions in 31 countries and territories in Asia. Japan is the most represented country this year, with 117 schools.

Tsinghua University and Peking University of China hold the top spot for the fourth year in a row.

THE is the most prestigious and influential university ranking organization in the world, next to the rankings of QS and Shanghai Jiaotong University (China).

THE Asian University Rankings are based on 13 indicators, 5 groups of areas including: Teaching (learning environment), accounting for 25%; Research (volume, income and reputation), accounting for 30%; Scientific citations (research influence), 30%; International outlook (attracting faculty, students and international researchers), accounting for 7.5%; Industry income (knowledge transfer efficiency), accounting for 7.5%.
