According to Japanese media reports, Takahashi Kazuki – author of the famous manga Yu-Gi-Oh! , commonly known as “King of Games” in the Vietnamese version passed away on the morning of July 6, 2022, at the age of 60.

Around 10:30 a.m. on July 6 (yesterday), a body wearing a diving gear was found drifting off the coast of Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture. Today, the Nago Coast Guard confirmed the identity of the body as Mr. Takahashi Kazuki. Currently, the Coast Guard and the Japanese police are coordinating investigations to clarify the cause of death.

Takahashi is a famous creator, associated with the classic manga brand of Yu-Gi-Oh ! cards. More than two decades have passed since the first chapter of the original manga was published in 1996 and created a fever in Japan.

The first anime adaptation episode (commonly known as Season 0) was produced by Toei Animation and aired in 1998. The next anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster that made a lot of noise was also released 2 years later.
