Suddenly things should never be placed near a Wi-Fi transmitter, turns out we’re all doing it wrong?

There are devices and items that should be avoided near the Router because they can cause Wi-Fi interference and even vice versa – that is, the Wi-Fi transmitter causes errors for other devices. What is surprising is that they are the ones that are usually placed closest to the router.

And the list includes refrigerators, microwaves, Wi-Fi cameras, bluetooth devices, USB drives, magnetic cards…

A fairly obvious example is the refrigerator. Refrigerators generate electromagnetic fields, which will affect Wi-Fi broadcasting.

Next is placing the Router near the workplace – for example on a computer desk – then the Router itself will interfere with the operation of wireless mice and other Bluetooth accessories.

One thing that needs to be as far away from the Wi-Fi transmitter as possible is a mirror. This is because mirrors reflect electromagnetic signals and create noise, which degrades signal quality. In addition, placing the router behind a closet with a mirror will also affect the signal.

If the Wi-Fi transmitter is placed on the table – you need to avoid placing magnetic cards (bank cards, key cards…) near it.

Over time, they can suffer and eventually become unusable. There have been cases where the magnetic card stopped working after just a few hours near the router.

And the final warning is not to place the Router near the aquarium.

The reason is because the water in the aquarium can strongly affect Wi-Fi transmission and it also creates high humidity in the surrounding area.

This high humidity can negatively affect the router’s electronic components.
