Sharp AQUOS zero6 launched: 5G smartphone with large screen and lightest battery in the world

Sharp has just launched a new smartphone model in Japan, called AQUOS zero6. This is considered the lightest 5G phone with a large screen at the moment, and also comes with quite good battery life.

AQUOS zero6 has a physical size of 158 x 73 x 7.9mm and weighs about 146 grams, equipped with a 4010mAh battery. Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 mini weighs 135 grams but only has a 2227mAh battery. Similarly, the iPhone 13 mini comes with a slightly larger 2438mAh battery but weighs in at 141 grams.

In terms of specifications, SHARP AQUOS zero6 owns a 6.4-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels), 240Hz refresh rate and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. In comparison, the screen of this phone is much larger than the 5.4-inch screen on the iPhone mini models.

Inside, AQUOS zero6 brings hardware power from Snapdragon 750G processor, combined with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 standard memory. Moving to the back, the device has 4 rear cameras, including a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP 2x telephoto camera and a ToF sensor. In addition, it also has a 12.6MP camera on the front for selfies.

The AQUOS zero6 supports 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band GNSS, NFC with Osaifu-Keitai, and a USB Type-C port. The device has an integrated fingerprint sensor under the screen, IP68 water and dust resistance, microSD card support (up to 1TB) and comes pre-installed with Android 11 when sold.

Currently, there is no information on the price of AQUOS zero6. The phone is currently open for pre-order in Japan through Soft Bank, and has 3 color options: Black, White and Purple.
