Samsung launches Galaxy A23 5G with IP68 waterproof version, priced at VND 5.7 million

Samsung recently introduced a new mid-range model in the Japanese market called Galaxy A23 5G. Although it has the same name as the A23, the version for the Japanese market does not have anything in common compared to the international version or the version sold in the Vietnamese market. The hardware configuration of the Japanese A23 5G is shortened, in return it is equipped with IP68 water resistance according to this country’s standards.

Galaxy A23 5G has a plastic-finished shell, in many colors such as black, white and red. The device has a rather small 5.8-inch screen, uses a TFT LCD panel with HD + resolution, a “water drop” design with a 5MP selfie camera.

The main camera on the back includes only a 50MP lens with LED flash, without any other lenses. The international version of A23 5G is equipped with up to 4 lenses.

In terms of performance, the Japanese Galaxy A23 5G comes with a Dimensity 700 chip, MediaTek’s cheapest 5G chip. The device has 4GB RAM, 64GB memory is quite meager but supports microSD card. The device runs on Android 12, One UI 4.1 interface, 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

As mentioned, the Galaxy A23 5G supports the IP68 waterproof standard that usually only appears on high-end smartphones. However, with smartphones, whether expensive or cheap, when distributed in the Japanese market, they must meet this standard.

The selling price of Galaxy A23 5G in Japan is 32,800 yen, equivalent to 5.7 million.
