Samsung canceled all pre-orders of the Galaxy Fold before launch

Samsung has finally revealed the official launch date for its foldable Galaxy Fold smartphone, but if you’ve pre-ordered the device, your purchase will have to start over.

Samsung sent emails to customers who pre-ordered Galaxy Fold to announce that their pre-orders were canceled so the company could “rethink the overall customer experience.”

To compensate for the cancellation of pre-orders, Samsung told The Verge that it offered each customer a $ 250 credit to buy any product at the Samsung Store.

Interestingly coincidentally, on this day 12 years ago, Apple also gave each iPhone first version a $ 200 credit to buy at the Apple Store, because of the price reduction of their first iPhone.

South Korea was the first market to acquire the foldable smartphone on September 6, before Apple launched this year’s new iPhones on September 10 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.

After Korea, Galaxy Fold will launch in Germany, France, England and Singapore on September 18 and in the US a few weeks later. Currently the Galaxy Fold reservation has not been reopened.
