Ryzen 3000 and 4000’s impressive sales helped AMD shareholders earn up to 14 times

Semiconductor Business, Embedded Equipment and Customization business also contributed 20% of total revenue this quarter. However, compared to last year, this business segment saw a decline. AMD said that in fact enterprise systems are still growing while semiconductor custom sales are down.

This corresponds to a fact: console device sales have stalled as the market awaits the launch of 9th generation console devices, meaning AMD’s SoC semiconductor custom sales are falling. go. AMD’s EPYC server chip segment, meanwhile, saw growth, though it was not enough to offset the decline in semiconductor custom operations.

While Quarter 1 of 2020 is a good business period for the company, it is expected that difficult Quarter 2 will return. The DigiTimes report shows that assembled PC sales are expected to fall by up to 30% this year. In the recent earnings report, CEO Lisa Su also mentioned this.
