Xiaomi is planning to launch the Redmi K50 series, the successor to the previously successful K40 series. In this generation, many sources believe that Xiaomi will not only launch one or two versions, but instead have up to four Redmi K50 versions with diverse prices.
Specifically, according to leaker Digital Chat Station, Redmi K50 series will soon be introduced in February next year in the Chinese market. There will be four versions running four different processors for users to choose from: the most advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 870, MediaTek Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000.
In addition, a source from Digital Chat Station also said that Redmi K50 will run Android 12 with MIUI 13 interface as soon as it is launched. It is expected that MIUI will be introduced soon this December, possibly along with the flagship Xiaomi 12 series.
Previously, the Redmi K50’s certifications revealed two pangolins “Mastisse” and “Rubens”, these two versions will be equipped with MediaTek processors, in which Mastisse with Dimensity 9000, a processor optimized by MediaTek Optimized for gaming will be called Redmi K50 Gaming Pro Edition, equipped with a 120Hz or 144Hz OLED screen, supports fingerprint under the screen, has a 64MP camera and an advanced cooling system. And “Rubens” with the Dimensity 7000 chip will be the standard Gaming version.
Information about two versions of Redmi K50 running Qualcomm chip currently has no official information. In addition, if according to Xiaomi’s annual practice, the Redmi K50 series will soon be renamed by Xiaomi and sold in the international market with a new name, most likely under the brand POCO. .
