Specifically, all problems arising due to manufacturer’s errors will be thoroughly handled by VinFast at the factory, and directly supported with service vouchers or in cash to customers depending on the error group and limit of each market. school.

VinFast classifies errors according to 3 main groups of cases, including:

  • Case 1 is the error that the car is still moving but causing inconvenience to the customer. If these errors are encountered, customers will be supported 1,000,000 VND/car.
  • Case 2 is the failure of the vehicle to be moved and need to be rescued to the service workshop. In addition to paying for the entire cost of rescue and repair, VinFast will support customers with VND 2,000,000/car.
  • Case 3 includes repairs lasting more than 3 days. From the 4th day onwards, customers will be supported 1,000,000 VND/day. The number of days is calculated including Saturday and Sunday on the principle that 01 day is counted as 24 hours.

The person who identifies these groups of errors will be experts at VinFast’s service workshops and notify customers . Payment method will be after-sales service voucher or money via wire transfer or check. Support levels do not include VAT or equivalent taxes.

The company also noted that the above support levels do not apply to hardware upgrades and software updates as announced by the company; custom cars, vehicles repaired due to accidents; the vehicle is not under warranty, genuine maintenance and repair and is not used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions; or do not update to the latest software according to the official announcement of the company.

According to VinFast, this policy will be applied in Vietnam, the US, Canada from June 15 and applied in Europe when the car is officially handed over.

Earlier in VinFast’s internal training session in March 2023, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong mentioned three key commitments that VinFast did not do well: “The car still has many errors despite having quickly fixed most of the errors. . Business only knows promotion, after-sales is weak.”
