HMD Global has just launched a new Nokia smartphone, recalling previous generations of Nokia phones. Nokia XR20 is a 5G smartphone, in addition to physical protection, the Nokia XR20 is also very well supported in terms of software, with 3 years of operating system updates and 4 years of security updates.
Nokia XR20 5G is equipped with extremely impressive resistance. It is IP68 rated and can survive 1.5m underwater for up to an hour. The Nokia XR20 also meets the military standard MIL-STD 810H, withstands temperatures from 55 degrees Celsius to -22 degrees Celsius, and is impact resistant when dropped from a height of 1.8m. The screen of the Nokia XR20 is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, the hardest today.
In addition to the external protection features, the Nokia XR20 has the same specifications as the Nokia X20. This smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch 1080p screen, Snapdragon 480 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 4,630 mAh battery capacity and Qi wireless charging support.
However, Nokia XR20 is only equipped with two rear cameras, instead of 4 cameras like Nokia X20. This smartphone has a 48MP main camera and a 13MP super wide-angle camera, it does not have a macro camera and depth sensor like the Nokia X20.
With a Snapdragon 480 chip and an unimpressive dual camera cluster, it is clear that the Nokia XR20 is not a competitor of mid-range smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G or the Pixel 4A 5G. However, if you love the Nokia brand and the “rock pot” character of Nokia phones, then this could be an interesting choice.
Nokia XR20 is priced at 549 USD for the 6GB / 128GB version, in the US. The UK market will have an additional 4GB / 64GB version for £ 399.
Besides, HMD Global also launched a new true wireless headset, Clarity Earbuds Pro. This headset has noise cancellation, providing up to 9 hours of use and 36 hours with the charging case. Clarity Earbuds Pro is priced at just £99.
