Microsoft is secretly developing the Start Menu with a rounded design that looks better

Tram Ho

Microsoft’s future direction is the Fluent Design design language. So it wouldn’t be surprising if Microsoft continued to bring this design to the tools on Windows 10.

One of the company’s latest ideas is to make the Start Menu “more rounded” by angling corners.

In fact, the idea of improving sharp corners to rounded corners in Windows 10 is not new and Microsoft has previously been experimented with in the search interface of the user.

But it seems Microsoft now wants to put this design on the Start Menu. As you can see, rounded corners appear in context menus, search boxes and even Live Tiles icons on the Start Menu.

This interesting, suggestive image was shared by Microsoft on the Microsoft Tips website. This partly shows Microsoft’s seriousness and long-term overhaul of the tool.

Currently Microsoft is tight-lipped about the plan to deploy the rounded design on the Star Menu. But the latest sign shows that Microsoft is ready to share it with all users. Only remaining issue is time.

A new feature update is expected to arrive early next year. Meanwhile, the update coming next fall is said to be a minor upgrade and doesn’t have many new features.

And before releasing to a large number of users, surely Windows Insider users will have the opportunity to experience this interface soon.
