The Elec page said that the panel that BOE is expected to provide for the iPhone 13 Pro series will be an LTPO OLED (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) panel. The advantage of this panel is that it has a real-time variable scan frequency. LTPO technology is currently being applied on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. In addition, BOE’s LTPO OLED panels are also expected to have a longer lifespan than conventional LTPO OLED panels due to the new design.

BOE’s new OLED display factory will be named B12 and be located in Chongqing city, China. The production lines have been in operation since the fourth quarter of last year with an output of 48,000 units per month.

Previously, BOE did not reach an agreement to supply OLED screens for iPhone 13, due to quality problems. Currently, Samsung and LG are still the two main partners of Apple.
