IBM and Udacity want developers to learn about AI online.

Udacity an online learning platform that helps people quickly learn the necessary tech skills, has also joined hands with IBM Watson , Didi Chuxing and Amazon Alexa to launch a small course on artificial intelligence (artificial intelligence), this information has just been published at the IBM World of Watson conference session.

IBM Watson is currently working on developing this special learning program at Udacity. The Chinese company Didi Chuxing is also planning to hire students who have completed the course, and of course the IBM side is also planning it. And most of all, Amazon is playing an advisory role for Udacity in developing this completely new AI course.

According to Udacity founder Sebastian Thrun, who was known for the Google X and auto innovation shop projects, he said the small certificate of this course is really only for those who are highly qualified. and proficient in software development.

Rob High, Vice President and IBM Watson CTO said in a company blog post that the certificate (nanodegree) was created to help learners build applications or platforms by studying logic, computer vision. , and even natural language processing technology (natural language processing).

Many people question whether this certificate includes ethical programs when performing artificial intelligence, the Thrun said:

“Actually not. People still have an unnecessary fear of AI. In my opinion, AI is not created to destroy the world. It will help us get rid of repetitive tasks in a boring way. Imagine AI can help you do boring tasks in the office and you have to do it over and over again every day. The benefits that AI will really bring to people are also like what the steam revolution once brought. I feel very hopeful about this technology. ”

Udacity AI Nanodegree is comprised of 2 13-week courses that will start from the beginning of 2017. The program is still in development, while the program is still taught by real people, not by machine.
