The factory will be located in Bac Giang province and has an estimated annual output of up to 8 million products of all kinds. Foxconn has so far invested $ 1.5 billion in Vietnam and plans to increase its investment by $ 700 million as well as employ 10,000 more local workers by 2021.

Foxconn also plans to invest $ 1.3 billion in Thanh Hoa province and move some iPad and MacBook production lines assembled from China to Vietnam at the request of Apple Inc.
