Honda electric motorbike probes Vietnamese people: There are imported cars priced at VND 29 million

Three electric motorcycle models Honda PCX Electric, U-Be and U-go appeared at Honda’s Thanks Day event from December 30, 2022 to January 1, 2023. In addition to the display, these models can all be tested at the event. However, the Japanese automaker said that this is just an activity to probe the reaction of users, there is no specific time to sell the car to the market.

Of the three electric motorcycle models for test driving at the event, the PCX Electric introduced in 2019 has the same design as the petrol engine version. Meanwhile, the other two products, U-Be and U-Go, seem to target young customers, students, and users who travel less often.

Honda PCX Electric has a design similar to the gasoline model sold in Vietnam market. Cruiser-style car styling brings comfort to the driver and the rear passengers. The main difference on this model is the change from internal combustion engine to electric motor.

This electric scooter model is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 5.63 horsepower at 5,500 rpm. According to Honda, the maximum speed that this scooter model can achieve is 67 km / h. The vehicle battery pack can help PCX Electric travel about 60 km per charge, at a speed of 30-35 km/h.

Honda’s electric car has some notable equipment such as an LED light system, an electronic information screen, two batteries placed under the saddle and a small space for storage and smart keys. The front wheel is equipped with a disc brake, while the rear wheel uses a drum brake.

In addition, the Japanese brand also displayed the U-Go electric motorcycle model. This is a product of the joint venture Honda and Wuyang in the Chinese market. This electric vehicle model has a compact design and has been registered as an industrial design in Vietnam.

U-Go has two engine options in the Chinese market including 800 W and 1,200 W, helping the car reach a maximum speed of 43 km / h and 53 km / h, respectively. Power is provided by a Lithium-ion battery pack, with a capacity of 1,440 kW, which can travel 65 km per charge. In addition, the car can add 1 spare battery.

This electric car model has some notable equipment such as LED lights, front disc brakes, charging port for USB standard handheld devices, monochrome electronic screen. However, the car still uses the mechanical key.

The U-Be electric car model was also displayed and tested at the event. At some private agents in Hanoi, U-Be is offered for about 29 million VND.

U-Be is aimed at young users, looking for a compact, flexible electric vehicle when operating in urban areas. The vehicle’s length, width and height dimensions are 1,695 x 650 x 1,035mm, respectively. The wheelbase reaches 1,220mm.

Vehicles equipped with LED lights, color information screen, smartkey smart lock, USB charging port for handheld devices. In addition, U-Be has a position to wait for a pedal to be used in case the car runs out of power.

The 48V, 24Ah Lithium-ion battery pack placed under the saddle can help the vehicle travel 80km per full charge. According to the announcement from the manufacturer, the charging time is about 2 hours. In addition, in the Chinese market, the car has 18Ah and 20Ah battery options.

U-Be uses a 350W electric motor, can reach a maximum speed of 25km / h. The car is equipped with front disc brakes. In addition to the standard version, the U-Be in the Chinese market also has the U-Be Cross option, with the ability to move off-road.
