In 2011, Google removed the icon design with a 3D style. Since then, the Chrome browser’s application icons have changed very little. In this change in 2022, Google has removed the shading effects between red, yellow, and green at the outer edges, instead using a gradient effect that makes the color transition between areas become easier. should be softer.

Google designer Elvin posted on Twitter that Google tailors the experience of using Chrome for each operating system platform. That is, for each platform, users have a more consistent experience with the operating system, rather than a shared icon for the entire platform.

Elvin also said that the new icons of Google Chrome will soon be updated on different platforms in the next few months, most likely in the 100th version of Chrome that will be released at the end of March.
