Galaxy Tab S8 revealed: Ultra version has a new design, uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip

Tram Ho

Recently, a well-known leaker in the technology world, Evan Blass (evleaks) has posted new render images of the Galaxy Tab S8 trio, Samsung’s high-end Android tablet line that is about to be launched, expected to be Q1. next year. The new images confirm that the two Tab S8 and S8 Pro models will have the same basic design, while the most advanced version, the Ultra, will have a new design.

Specifically, previous information also said that the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8 + are similar in appearance and are almost similar to this year’s generation of Tab S7 series. The difference between these two versions will be in the screen size as well as a bit in hardware specifications. Accordingly, the standard Galaxy Tab S8 will have an 11-inch screen and the Plus version will have a 12.4-inch screen.

Meanwhile, with the most advanced Ultra version, the screen size of this version is up to 14.6 inches. All three use AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rate. However, with the Ultra version, instead of having a flawless screen, this machine has a “rabbit ears” screen.

Overall, the screen on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra looks very similar to what we see on the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro. The reason behind the notch design may come from the screen border of the Ultra version being too thin and forcing Samsung to put the “rabbit ears” screen idea on the tablet.

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will probably be the first tablet on the market equipped with a rather strange “rabbit ears” screen. In addition, the new Galaxy Tab S series is also expected to come with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor introduced by Qualcomm not long ago, as well as support for 45W fast charging.
