In addition to the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Pro lines, at the April Unpacked event held on the evening of the 28th, Samsung also introduced another laptop called the Galaxy Book Odyssey. As a product line in the Odyssey segment, Galaxy Book Odyssey focuses primarily on the gaming experience as well as powerful performance thanks to the RTX 3050 Ti graphics card. This is also the first laptop in the world equipped with this graphics card from NVIDIA.
Unlike the slim and light design of the Galaxy Book Pro series, the Galaxy Book Odyssey, although still retaining a minimalistic design, however, due to the laptop’s focus on gaming capabilities, the device still possesses a few pitfalls Along with that is the “Odyssey” logo on the front that looks quite similar to many gaming laptops on the market. It weighs 1.85kg and has a thickness of 17.7mm, which is bulkier than the Galaxy Book Pro models, but still significantly lighter and thinner than many other gaming laptops.
As mentioned above, Galaxy Book Odyssey is the first laptop in the world to be equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Max-Q discrete graphics card. Samsung also offers an optional 3050 Ti Max-Q for powerful graphics processing capabilities. In addition, in terms of CPU, the machine also comes with an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 chip, optional RAM capacity from 8GB / 16GB or 32GB (with an available RAM slot for users to upgrade), SSD memory up to 1TB NVMe.
Galaxy Book Odyssey has a 15.6-inch screen, Full HD resolution, using a standard TFT LCD panel.
In addition to the terrible hardware, the Galaxy Book Odyssey is also a laptop that supports 135W super-fast charging capacity, the battery comes with an 83Wh battery. It has quite a few ports: two USB-C ports, three USB 3.2 ports, an HDMI port, a microSD card slot and an Ethernet port.
Galaxy Book Odyssey will be available in August with a starting price of 1399 USD, equivalent to about 32.2 million VND.
