Facebook for turning off red notifications on the app

Over the weekend, TechCrunch discovered that it could remove some tags on Facebook apps like Marketplace, Watch, Groups, Events, Profile, Friend Requests, News, Today In, Gaming and Dating, or disable notifications from these items. Facebook confirmed with the news site that every app user can now use the Shortcut Bar Settings feature to set up new settings. However, iOS users are first equipped and Android has to wait a few more weeks.

Facebook’s move will reduce stress for people who are distracted by the red notifications of social networks. In fact, continuous jump notifications are a trick to grab users attention for Facebook. According to the spokesperson, controlling notifications helps people connect with what they really like.

If you’re given the Shortcut Bar Settings feature, simply press and hold on any of the icons in the navigation bar to remove a card or turn off notifications completely.
