Referring to Chromebook devices, maybe we will all remember the Pixelbook models from Google. The Chromebook computer market seems too small for companies to step in and make a profit. However, recently, Samsung, the “big” in the mobile technology village has announced a brand new Chromebook called the Galaxy Chromebook.
Most Chromebook devices on the market today have a mid-range configuration and are affordable (Pixelbook and Pixelbook Go are an example), but with the Galaxy Book, this Chromebook has configuration is quite “terrible” with 4K screens and Intel Core i5 latest chips, as well as comes at a price not cheap at all.
Specifically, the Galaxy Chromebook is a new Galaxy Book laptop, including the Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion that were just launched at CES 2020 today. With the Galaxy Chromebook, this device also owns a 360-degree hinge similar to its two “brothers”, allowing users to use it in both laptop and computer mode. The Galaxy Chromebook is only 9.9mm thin, even thinner than some smartphones today that come with cases.
In terms of detailed configuration, as mentioned above, Galaxy Chromebook is equipped with the latest generation Intel Core i5 chip (codename), optional RAM up to 16GB and SSD up to 1TB. The screen of the device is a 4K AMOLED screen (3840 x 2160) with touch support. The starting price for the Galaxy Chromebook is $ 999, or about $ 23 million, located in the high-end segment and more expensive than most Chromebook devices today.
