According to a new report by DigiTimes , citing sources from the supply chain, Apple may launch the iPhone 12 in two different stages, although it still launches all four models at the same time. Specifically, two new iPhone models with 6.1-inch screens will be sold from the first round, while 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch models will hit the second batch.

This assumption is entirely valid, because before that, in 2017, Apple had launched the iPhone X in September, but it did not start selling until November. A year later, the company continued to launch the iPhone XR in September but sold in October.

“Apple can sell 5G iPhones in two stages, with two 6.1-inch models in the first stage, 6.7-inch models and 5.4-inch models in the second stage. According to the report, Apple will launch four iPhone 12 models this year, including a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models and a 6.7-inch model. Meanwhile, the remaining 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch models will be cheap iPhones, only dual cameras and come with a more affordable price.
