Apple began allowing users to rate its apps on the App Store, immediately receiving a 1-star storm

Official Apple apps on the App Store have long been exempt from user reviews and ratings, unlike other third-party apps. Finally, Apple has allowed users to rate and rate its apps on the App Store.

From now on, official Apple apps that can be deleted and reinstalled through the App Store can be rated and star rated, just like any other app. These can be mentioned as Apple Music, Stocks, Calculator applications. Other apps like Apple’s calling and messaging aren’t available in the App Store.

Since only reviews and ratings are allowed, Apple’s apps haven’t received a significant number of reviews, most between 20 and 300 reviews. However, Apple’s applications were badly rated by users and even received a 1-star storm.

Take the Podcasts app, for example, which currently has over 156 reviews and only a 2.0 star rating. A lot of users complain that this Apple app has an unintuitive and complicated user interface that lags behind third-party apps.

The Translate app for translation also only received a 2.2 star rating, with 99 reviews. Some users report that the Translate application is faulty, unable to copy and paste text.

Apple News is also not much better, with only a 2.3-star rating with 140 reviews.

Overall, none of Apple’s official apps have received high ratings from users. Even Apple Music has been criticized by users for its bad design, lag, and some features that don’t work properly.
