At WWDC 2023, Apple announced new features for its Apple AirPods headphones, including Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness .
Accordingly, the Adaptive Sound feature allows automatically switching between active noise cancellation and environmental listening depending on the user’s surroundings. The Conversation Recognition feature allows the headset to automatically switch to ambient listening mode and lower the music volume when it senses the user is talking to someone – a feature that is also available on our products . Sony and some other brands.
Apple also demonstrated powerful ambient noise filtering on the AirPods, allowing the person on the other end of the line to hear only the caller’s voice and not background noise. At the event, Apple played a video with a person on a call with AirPods Pro 2nd generation standing in the middle of a band, but the receiver of the call couldn’t hear the music at all, even though it was very noisy.
The company also said that the feature that automatically switches sources between iPhone, iPad and Mac will become faster and more accurate than before. All of these upgrades will be rolled out in an update that rolls out around the same time as iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and tvOS 17.
