Since September 15 this year, the US government has imposed new export controls that prevent US companies and companies using US technology from supplying or cooperating with Huawei without a license.

So far Samsung Display, the display manufacturing division of Samsung Electronics, the main supplier of OLED displays to Apple and Samsung Electronics, is one of the few companies to obtain this license. The company declined to comment.

However, it is not clear whether Samsung Display will be able to export its OLED panels to Huawei, as other companies in the supply chain of necessary components for the company must also obtain a license from the US government when components. they supply constituent the end product to supply Huawei.

Last month, chip giant Intel and rival AMD said they had received permits from the US government to continue supplying certain products to Huawei.
