Recently, manufacturer ZTE has introduced the next generation of selfie camera technology hidden under the screen, equipped on the ZTE Axon 30 5G. Thanks to new technology, the Axon 30 5G can deliver a better selfie image quality than its predecessor.
Axon 30 5G is equipped with a 6.92-inch screen, using AMOLED panels, with Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Compared to its predecessor, this year’s Axon 30 5G has a 16MP selfie camera area below the screen with a much higher pixel density, up to 400 PPI (as announced by ZTE). Increasing the pixel density allows users to not have to pay much attention to this area as before. ZTE also claims the Axon 30 5G’s selfie camera is much better quality than its predecessor.
Despite the increase in pixel density, ZTE still maintains a high level of light transmission through pixels. ZTE said it also equipped an “independent display chip” used to synchronize the display of the main screen with the area containing the selfie camera. 7 layers of high-transparency materials and 3 special processing technologies are used by ZTE to improve light transmission efficiency.

ZTE Axon 30 5G has a cluster of 4 main cameras located on the back, including 64MP wide-angle camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 120-degree viewing angle, 5MP macro camera and 2MP depth camera.
In terms of performance, ZTE Axon 30 5G comes with Snapdragon 870 chip, 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The battery has a capacity of 4200mAh and supports 55W fast charging technology.
In terms of price, ZTE Axon 30 5G has a starting price in the Chinese market of 2198 yuan, equivalent to about 7.7 million.
