YouTube will show ads in all videos, even if the producers don’t want to and make no money

YouTube just changed the rules about video monetization, and left a lot of content producers unhappy. The biggest change is that YouTube will show ads in all videos, even if producers don’t want and don’t include monetization.

And video makers won’t make any money from ads embedded in their videos. This is a new rule in the terms of service called “Right to Monetize” by YouTube.

“Starting today, we will begin rolling out ads on videos from channels that are not part of the YouTube Partner program,” YouTube said. This means you’ll probably see ads showing up in your videos, but since you’re not part of the YouTube Partner program, you won’t receive a portion of the revenue from these ads ”.

YouTube Partner is a program that video creators can join to monetize the ads embedded in their videos. The requirement to join is that their channel must have more than 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of video viewing within the last 12 months.

One Youtuber with more than 3.5 million subscribers commented: “That’s crazy. If you are a small channel, struggling to grow and not making money, YouTube will still run ads in your video and take 100% of the profit from what you did.

There are YouTube video creators who don’t want to add ads to their videos, so that viewers can comfortably watch their videos without being disturbed. But that won’t be the case with YouTube’s new rule.

From YouTube’s point of view, the platform provides free hosting and streaming of videos. There are many costs to do that, so YouTube needs to make revenue from small channels that are running for free as well. But why not simply reduce the conditions for participating in the YouTube Partner program, so that it is easier for small channels to participate in making money too?
