You can already use the external screen of the Galaxy Z Flip3 as a mini smartphone

With the Galaxy Z Flip3, Samsung has equipped an external screen that is larger and more useful than the previous generation, but it still can’t let you use the full functions of the device. Basically, the external screen of the Z Flip3 will let you see the time, read notifications, take photos and access some widgets.

You can’t browse the web or view a full email client with this 1.9-inch screen. However, a free launcher called CoverScreen OS will help you do the seemingly impossible with Z Flip3.

You’ll be able to open all your apps on the external screen, with messages, you can choose to reply via voice, you can watch YouTube, or even… play games. When in use, want to exit the application, just swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen.

Some features, such as search, recent apps, external screen rotation, are locked and you need to subscribe to the developer support package to use it, which costs 227,000/month.

Of course, at just 1.9 inches, using the external monitor for all tasks will be an uncomfortable experience, but it is still quite impressive and will be useful in a few cases.
