Xiaomi smartphone supports 5G, 108MP camera leaked, priced from 3.5 million VND

Xiaomi is planning to launch the Redmi Note 9 series in China. Unlike the international version, the Redmi Note 9 Chinese version will add 5G network connection and have a completely different design. Recently, the specifications and prices of these devices have suddenly leaked just before the launch date.

Redmi Note 9 5G

According to the Weibo post, the standard variant of the Redmi Note 9 5G will be around 1000 yuan (~ 3.5 million). Meanwhile, the price of the higher-end version with the 108MP camera will fall at about 1500 yuan (~ 5.3 million). This price is completely in line with previous rumors that said Xiaomi will launch a 5G smartphone for 999 yuan by the end of 2020.

A few days ago, Lu Weibing – Redmi brand manager and president of Xiaomi group, teased the launch of the Redmi Note 9 series in China. If the latest leak is true, we will likely see this series of devices hit shelves as early as mid-November.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G

As predicted, two new Xiaomi smartphones will be called Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. They both have side-mounted fingerprint sensors, expand storage via microSD card, and run MIUI 12 based on Android 10.

Specifications of Redmi Note 9 series in China

Redmi Note 9 5G will use MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, combined with 4GB / 6GB / 8GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB storage. In terms of camera, the device will have a 64MP rear camera and a 13MP selfie camera. It comes with a 6.53 inch FHD + LCD display with a “mole” on the left, instead of in the center like the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The device supports 5G SA / NSA connectivity, has 5000mAh battery and 22.5W fast charging.

Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G

As for the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, the phone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor and has a very similar design to the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G. It is equipped with a 6.67-inch FHD + LCD display, but will likely support 120Hz, not 60Hz, as on the Mi 10T Lite 5G.

Other specifications of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G include 6GB / 8GB / 12GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB internal memory, 4720mAh capacity battery with 33W fast charging. In addition, this version also has a 108MP HM2 camera sensor from Samsung on the back, a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
