Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold sold out after a few seconds of selling

Xiaomi has just closed its two-day event, with the launch of a series of exciting new products. In which, the most notable is the high-end smartphone Mi 11 Ultra and the folding screen smartphone Mi MIX Fold.

Mi MIX Fold is Xiaomi’s first folding screen smartphone, competing directly with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold or Huawei’s Mate X. Xiaomi will officially sell the Mi MIX Fold from April 16. However, right after the launch, this smartphone is available for pre-order on many platforms. As for pricing, the 12GB / 256GB version starts at 10,000 yuan (about $ 1,520), the 12GB / 512GB version costs 11,000 yuan ($ 1,673) and the 16GB / 512GB top-end version costs 13,000 Yuan (1,977 USD).

The Redmi brand’s product manager, Mr. Wang Teng revealed that: “Mi MIX Fold is almost sold out after only a few seconds”. It is not surprising that a Xiaomi smartphone sells out after only a short time of opening, but considering the selling price factor, this is a special case.

Although the Mi MIX Fold has a quite reasonable price compared to other foldable smartphones, this price is still much higher than the general level of Xiaomi products. But price doesn’t seem like the big deal. It also shows that Xiaomi’s high-end attack strategy has achieved initial success.
