Xiaomi is one of the well-known smartphone manufacturers in the market, with many products in different price segments. Most of its smartphones support fast charging at least 18W, except for some models in the low-end segment. Even so, the most common charging speed on the company’s devices today is 33W.
In order to meet the needs of users, Xiaomi has recently released a new 33W fast charger based on GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology, fully named Mi GaN Type-C 33W. The product owns an extremely compact size, about 56% smaller than the conventional 33W charger and only comparable to Apple’s 5W charger.
Mi GaN Type-C 33W charger bearing model number AD33G, only white option and uses USB-C port instead of USB-A. It comes with overload protection, output / input voltage protection, short circuit protection, over temperature, electromagnetic interference and anti-static.
In addition to Xiaomi devices, the new GaN 33W charger is also capable of fast charging for smartphones from other brands, game consoles, tablets … It supports 5V / 3A (15W) output, 9V / 3A (27W), 11V / 3A (33W) and 12V / 2.5A (30W).
As expected, Xiaomi will start selling the Mi GaN Type-C 33W charger in China from February 25, with a retail price of 79 yuan (about 280,000 VND).
