Recently, Xiaomi has launched 30W wireless charging technology, a significant leap forward compared to the 20W wireless charger of Mi 9. This new technology will help solve the biggest problem of wireless charging on smartphones today. , that is very slow charging speed.
Xiaomi says a smartphone with a 4,000 mAh battery can reach 50% capacity in 25 minutes of charging and 100% in 69 minutes of charging. For wired charging, these parameters are normal, but they are unprecedented for wireless charging technology.
Xiaomi’s 30W wireless charger will be launched alongside the upcoming Mi 9 Pro 5G. Not stopping there, Xiaomi also confirmed that it is developing a 40W wireless charging technology. That is equivalent to the Huawei P30 Pro’s wired chargers or approximately the 45W fast charger of Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.
Xiaomi also revealed fast backward compatible wireless charging technology, meaning you’ll use your smartphone to charge accessories like wireless headsets at a faster rate. Tests show that Huawei and Samsung’s backward compatible wireless chargers are only 2.5W and 4W, while Xiaomi’s technology will reach 10W.
