Xiaomi launched a series of new Mi 11 series smartphones during the Mega Launch event held on March 29, including Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i and Mi 11 Lite. In addition, the company also introduced a new model of Wi-Fi 6 router, called Mi Router AX9000.
The Mi Router AX9000 is a gaming router, as well as the third generation of high-end Wi-Fi 6 from Xiaomi. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 6-core chipset (4 CPU + 2 NPU), supports a total of 3 bands – including 2.4GHz, 5GHz and another 5GHz band dedicated to gaming.
In addition, the device also supports 4×4 bandwidth 160MHz instead of 4×4 80MHz like on the Mi AX3000. This router supports both MU-MIMO and OFDMA – allowing data to be transmitted to up to 16 devices at a time.
In terms of design, the Mi Router AX9000 possesses a rather aggressive appearance with “X” shaped LED strips on the top, while the lid is designed in an octagonal shape. It features a total of 4 LAN ports, 1 USB 3.0 port and a heatsink to keep the router at peak performance.
Thanks to Qualcomm’s processor, Mi Router AX9000 can provide data transfer speeds up to 4804Mbps, depending on the frequency band that users connect to. In addition, Xiaomi is also confident when talking about the capabilities and connectivity range of this router, and promises to deliver strong data transfer speeds even at distances of up to 12 meters, through any photo. walls or objects in the user’s home.
Like other Xiaomi routers, Mi Router AX9000 also supports mesh networking. As a result, users can easily pair between routers to extend coverage, making the signal stable even when moving between rooms and floors in the house.
As expected, Mi Router AX9000 will officially be on shelves from April 2 with a retail price of 999 yuan (about 3.5 million). While waiting for the sale, users can pre-order on Xiaomi’s official website.
