Xiaomi is developing a smartphone that supports 200W fast charging

According to a source leaked from China, Xiaomi is developing the first smartphone in the world that supports 200W fast charging. The smartphone will also feature backwards compatible wireless charging, and be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. Xiaomi will launch this smartphone in the second half of this year.

Xiaomi is seriously investing in the development of fast charging technology. This can be a measure to help solve the needs of users, while the battery capacity of smartphones cannot be increased any more.

Mi 10 Ultra is already the fastest charging smartphone in 2020. This smartphone supports 120W wired charging, making it one of the very few smartphones currently supporting such high charging speed. According to GizChina, the upcoming 200W fast charging smartphone could be the Mi MIX 4.

The Mi MIX 4 will also feature a full-screen design, thanks to the use of selfie camera technology hidden below the screen. Previously, Mi MIX 3 had a sliding selfie camera.

According to a GSMArena report, the mysterious Xiaomi smartphone that supports 200W fast charging could be the Mi 11 Ultra. However, the Mi 11 Ultra is expected to be launched in the first half of 2021, earlier than the leaked release date from Chinese sources.
