Xiaomi is about to launch a folding screen smartphone like the Galaxy Z Flip

It seems that folding screen smartphones are becoming more and more popular and more and more brands want to enter this market. Xiaomi already has a folding screen product, the Mi MIX Fold, and now it is planning to expand its folding smartphone line with a clamshell device, similar to Samsung’s Z Flip series.

Xiaomi has been granted a patent for a new device at CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Association). This device has a clamshell folding design with two cameras and a small horizontal screen on the outside.

The inner screen will have a punch-hole dual selfie camera located in the upper left corner. The bottom edge is the SIM slot, USB-C port, speaker, while the power and volume keys are on the right edge.

It is not surprising that Xiaomi is also in the game of folding screen smartphones, as Motorola, Huawei and Samsung already have these products and the Chinese brand also wants to have market share. Perhaps this machine will be released soon next year.
