Xiaomi explained why the Mi Watch copied Apple’s design, not Samsung

Xiaomi has just launched the Mi Watch smartwatch, which is also the first smartwatch to carry the Mi brand and run Wear OS. The Mi Watch has a rectangular face design, very similar to the Apple Watch. But why does Xiaomi copy Apple’s design and not Samsung’s design?

Xiaomi also said that the rectangular screen helps make navigation better. With the rectangular display, users can easily navigate to the sides, up or down. MIUI-based OS Wear OS is also designed to navigate like that.

However, there is a leak that indicates that Xiaomi is about to launch a Mi Watch Pro with a circular screen. Quite ironic that Xiaomi thinks the rectangular screen is more suitable for smartwatches, but is preparing to launch a watch with a circular face.
